Horizon Protocols

Horizon Protocols is a year-long programme of research and development supported through Arts Council England's National Lottery Project Grants programme. Through repeated fieldwork in London and Eryri in North Wales, the project examines how light, sound, atmosphere, distance and horizon conditions affect perception, attention and orientation across urban and rural environments.

The research combines timed walks, fixed viewpoints, photography, moving image, sound recording, environmental observation, writing and studio testing. It will establish material and methodological foundations for later artworks and public presentations.

Supported using public funding by Arts Council England. Thanks to National Lottery players.
